Makinde to Coronate New Eleruwa of Eruwa June 28

The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, will formally coronate Prince Adebayo Adegbola as the new Eleruwa of Eruwa on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the State Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, who confirmed that preparations are in top gear for the grand ceremony.

According to him, the coronation date has been affirmed by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Ademola Ojo.

Prince Oyelade described the appointment of Prince Adegbola as a reaffirmation of the government’s dedication to preserving the rich cultural heritage of Eruwa, while also fostering unity among the people.

“Beyond its ceremonial significance, the coronation symbolizes the collective commitment of the community to honoring its historical roots and traditions,” he said.

He called on residents and stakeholders to actively participate in the coronation ceremony, stressing that the event will strengthen communal ties and usher Eruwa into a new era of peace, growth, and prosperity.
