Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has nominated the Permanent Secretary, General Administration, Dr. Olabode Taiwo Ladipo, for appointment as a commissioner.
The nomination was forwarded to the Oyo State House of Assembly for confirmation.
The governor also approved the appointment of Arc. Ifeoluwa Akande as Chairman of the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport Upgrade Committee, Hon. Isola Abiodun Adekunle as Executive Adviser on Intra-Party Affairs, and Hon. Oladejo Emmanuel Oladokun as a Part-Time Member of the Local Government Service Commission.
The appointments were contained in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, on Tuesday.
According to the letter, all the appointments will take effect from July 1, 2026.
Governor Makinde congratulated the appointees and urged them to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, loyalty and commitment to the service of Oyo State.
The commissioner-nominee, Dr. Ladipo, currently serves as the Permanent Secretary, General Administration, and is expected to appear before the Oyo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation in line with constitutional provisions.
