With barely 17 months to the end of its tenure Oyo State government has continued to defy the second term syndrome and intensifies developmental agenda with new zeal, commitment and enthusiasm.

In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, following yesterday’s Executive Council meeting, Governor Seyi Makinde is determined to ensure equitable development across all six geopolitical zones of the state.

The council approved the construction and rehabilitation of
45.3-kilometre Saki-Ogboro-Igboho road, at a cost of ₦18,141,307,000 (Eighteen billion, one hundred and forty-one million, three hundred and seven thousand naira), citing damages caused by heavy rainfall in July. Additionally, the Ogbooro-Agbonle road has been included in the project list to assist farmers in transporting agricultural produce efficiently.

The commissioner said that this administration has not relaxed its commitment to critical infrastructural interventions in the Oke Ogun area, even after completing the Saki Township Dualization Road, a project abandoned by previous administrations.
