Oyo North Senatorial Hopeful under the umbrella of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP Hon. Akinwale Solomon Akinwole has expressed optimism that members dumping PDP for another party will return to the party before the election.
The Ogbomoso-born party chieftain popularly called Wolekanle said Majority are coming back, we are talking to them and apart from the ongoing reconciliatory moves they are conscious of the fact that only PDP can accommodate them without discrimination or being teleguided, and by the time the dust over selection of candidates is settled everything will fall in line.
Akinwole while speaking with journalists after receiving his PDP primary clearance certificate in Ibadan maintained that many of those who left the party know that leaving PDP at this time is not the best option for any politician that claims to love his constituents and the progress of the country.
According to him, PDP in Oyo state is fairing well under the leadership of Engineer Seyi Makinde whose numerous achievements are one of the high points that give the party credence and a chance of winning the 2023 election without stress.
He however urged the party members to discountenance the rantings of anti-Makinde voices who are accusing the government of wrongdoings without checking their attitude and manner of approach to party politics.
While commending the stakeholders for creating an enabling environment for the screening of Aspirants Wolekanle said ‘ The National screening committee deserves an accolade for their humane approach and how they handled the whole exercise.
