Body Rotimi Adigun popularly know As Bintin, Ogbomoso South commander of the Nigeria Hunter and Forestry Security Services (NHFSS) and a student have been retrieved from the River where they were drowned
Adigun’s corpse and that of the unidentified student he allegedly pursued into a river at Sunsun area behind the Baptist Beulah Centre of the Ogbomoso Baptist Conference, were this night recovered.
ogbomosoinsightonline.com earlier reported that Bintin got drowned as he jumped after a student he was pursuing into a river.
Policemen, Amotekun operatives, firefighters and others reportedly stormed the area for rescue operation but it was abortive.
After frantic search and they could not be found Osun priests were invited to perform certain sacrifices so that the river could throw up their bodies.
This propitiation has allegedly yielded result as the bodies of the two had been retrieved.
Bintin’s relentless ‘Keep students in school’ expeditions will long be remembered.
He usually led the War Against Indiscipline (WAI) for many years.in Ogbomoso South local government, the team he led for the “operation keep the students in school,” he usually embarked upon.
He also provided security at inter-house sports and other events too.
He was feared by students who went out of line, loitered about and who generally constituted nuisance in and around secondary schools in Ogbomoso.
Principals and teachers had his phone numbers and a call to him seeking his assistance in apprehending students who formented trouble he quickly responded to with his boys.
“He was effective in this mission he voluntarily took upon himself, students cringed at the mention of his name, he will be sorely missed. May God comfort his family,” a teacher who spoke under conditions of anonymity disclosed.
