THE MISCONCEPTION ABOUT ASUU MEETING AND THE DRAMAS OF ABSURDITY

Truly, we are all frustrated, but do we need to keep doing things same way ? We’ve protested, engaged with media, and have also keep doing a lot of things to ensure that there is academic resumption very soon, but unfortunately with the dramas of today at 250lth, the long awaited hope for the resumption of academic activities which should be very-very near may be far from becoming a reality. But God forbid, no matter what!

It is just so displeasing and sardonic to see some leaders or intellectual students fighting over vanity. Is it that they want to continue parading themselves as student and never want to leave the system, or love to continue flexing their muscle, fighting whenever there is frivolous misunderstanding ? Argh, i doubt if these set of students are even amongst the leaders of tomorrow? Because as a leader, you are not only to be well equipped mentally and morally, but to also have the requisite leadership skills, sublime character and the administrative dexterity at conflict time.

Today, those we expect to mediate and act in that capacity turned out to be the distractors. And the most painful part is that, 99% of these set of people were once a contestant, whom during their campaign have promised us to be diligent and to also keep fighting for the students, but reverse is the case today in an attempt to satisfy their own interest. It now appear to us that the students displeasure is their own soothing balm. No wonder they emitted like volcano.

Concerned students thought it rightly to engage JAC, ASUU, Management and the government intellectually by inviting, appealing and to hear from them after the series of demonstration from the students. But all what the students could get back in return from these people is insult, hallucination, fight, and all sort of gibberish; such as, why will you invite them ? Who invited them? Why did they want to talk to us ? Why this, why that ?

Unknown to these distractors that nothing is achieved through violence. In Fact, the Ojukwu war after series of turbulent and difficulties ended up in dialogue and intellectual engagement. So why this set of people could not understand this ? I just hope they will have the zeal one day to learn more from GHANDI through his written books.

Truly, students need to be frustrated, but is there any good thing that cometh out of frustration or violence ?Harassing your lecturers, fighting your fellow students or making obituary of any one wont solve any problem but rather worsen it. So, why cant you comport yourself, maintain proper decorum, and engage intellectually ? The fact just remains that we will never achieve anything in disunity.

With what happened today, i cant guarantee my movement to Abuja let alone commoners safety. Hence, i suggest the discerning Ladokites should be very mindful of the post they read online and those they take as their leaders.

Anyway, am pleased to inform you all that there is end in sight. Very soon, we shall all be call back to school courtesy of the brilliant steps already taken by the progressive students and Alumni body of this great institution. We may not loud this for now, but we are very sure of victory at the end.

To me, nothing seems interesting than getting out of this system and for other students too, to promote to the next level. I just hope you will have similar feelings as well too.

It is just an overstatement to say that many of us have been losing a lot of opportunity while still on same spot in school, but in a situation like this, prayers and dialogue is very important. Not just unnecessary frustration that cant proffer solution but rather worsen it.
