Students of Ladoke Akintola University Ogbomoso today stormed the Abuja to seek Federal Government intervention on the crisis rocking the institutions.

The students who left Ogbomoso town yesterday stormed had written the Inspector General of Police in Abuja to informed him of their proposed protest.

Earlier in the day the students meet with the leadership of the Nigerian University Commission NUC, from where they proceeded to the Federal Ministry of Education.

It would be recalled that the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Federation of Oyo State Student Union FOSSU and other groups have been calling for Federal Government’s intervention on the matter.

The lecturers of the jointly owned institution had last week declared indefinite strike owning to irregularities in payment of their salaries and arrears.

Although an auditing firm is currently auditing the institution and the result is expected to be ready in few weeks.
