LAUTECH Governing Council Announces Prof Kalilu as Substantive Vice Chancellor

The governing council of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology. LAUTECH Ogbomoso has announced the appointment of Professor Rasaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu as the substantive Vice Chancellor of the institution

Professor Rasaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu is a professor of art and history in the faculty of environmental sciences, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology.

The Ogbomoso born scholar who was appointed as the acting Vice chancellor June 2023 began working at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology on September 1, 1992 and became professor of Arts and Arts History in October 1999.

A credible source told National Insight that “The Governing Council just announced Prof Kalilu as next substantive VC of LAUTECH though subject to the Visitor’s approval.”

The name is expected to be forwarded to Governor Seyi Makinde the state’s helmsman and Visitor to the university for endorsement.

This is in accordance with the new law proposed by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), it was stated.
