The President Student Union Government of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology LAUTECH Ogbomoso Abiodun Oluwaseun has absolved Oyo state government and the institution management from the suspension some of the union executives.

Oluwaseun, with two other executive members of the union were said to have been suspended by the legislative arm of the student union over alleged involvement in political rally by Peoples Democratic gubernatorial Candidate Engineer Seyi Makinde in the School premises.

He also disclosed that the proscription of the union by the school management was as a result of unresolved crisis between the legislative and the executive arm of government.

Explaining what transpires The SUG president said “It is pertinent, I made it clear to the general public, that the student Union was proscribed as a result of unresolved and unreconcilable crisis that ensued between the Central Executive Council and the Legislative arm of the Union, over an acclaimed suspension of the Student Union President, the General Secretary and the Public Relations Officer (PRO), by the Senate President through a medium unconstitutional, undemocratic and a one based on parochial sentiments and pulling down the government by all means, the Senate president has embarked upon since the beginning of the administration.”

“This led to a face off between the Central executive council and the Parliamentary arm of the Union and all efforts to resolve the crisis by the school management that was abortive by both party, led to the proscription of the Union to avoid further crisis or any blood shed. ”
