The streets of Saki were lit on Wednesday, as Senator Olufemi Lanlehin (SOLAN), Oyo State ADC governorship candidate, hit Saki, that ancient Okeogun town in a colourful roadshow.

Lanlehin, accompanied by his running mate, Alh Saheed Adejare Alaran, and other party top shots, moved round the city, in what was a carnival like procession, acknowledging cheers from excited members of the public.

The procession later headed for Saki Town Hall, where Lanlehin addressed a massive crowd.

“We shall complete all ongoing road projects here, and even commence new ones, so we can restore comfort to our people here,” Lanlehin told the jubilant crowd.

All our projects will be handled by competent local contractors, who in turn will employ local artisans. That way, the multiplier effect will permeate down, and prosperity will be shared.”

Speaking further, Lanlehin said, “Okeogun Polytechnic, is very crucial to the economy of Saki and environs, and that’s why we’ll adequately fund it, so that that institution will receive life.”

Promising other pro people programmes, Lanlehin assured the people of a government that prioritises free and qualitative education, affordable healthcare anchored on functional primary healthcare centres, and the reintroduction of farm settlements, to be complemented by cottage industries.

Alh Muslim Oyedemi, a party chieftain, reminded the crowd that the presence of erstwhile governorship aspirants like Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, Chief Lowo Obisesan, Hon Wale Adegoke, Senator Gbenga Babalola, and Otunba Oluseye Opatoki, has put to lie all opposition claims of disharmony within the Oyo ADC.

Said he, “no more court case. Besides, with all our governorship aspirants choosing to work with Senator Lanlehin, and the party now, our bond is stronger, and we remain united more than ever.”
