The Lagos State Government on Saturday night hosted a state banquet in honour of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, celebrating his rise through the ranks and dedication to national service.
The event highlighted Disu’s roots in Lagos, where he was born and raised, and his academic background at Lagos State University.
Speakers at the banquet noted that his early experiences in Lagos, particularly within communities on Lagos Island, helped shape his values of discipline, responsibility, and service.
His tenure as head of the Rapid Response Squad in Lagos was also commended for strengthening security and boosting public confidence, alongside his contributions in various national assignments.
The gathering described his journey as a testament to hard work, integrity, and commitment, while expressing pride that he continues to represent Lagos and Nigeria with honour in his current role.
