 The management of  Oshodi Art gallery  Ikorodu, Lagos state recently recieved delegates from Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture

The visiting team  which was headed by the Director of planning tourism and promotion, Mr Legunsun Temitope Frank and Directors of other departments in the ministry experienced the best of art collections the gallery has to offer which consists of over 17,000 creative works.

The visit was embarked upon under the directives of the Lagos state Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture Mrs. Uzamat Akinbile-Yussuf and the permanent secretary.

Captivated and astounded by the beautiful sight of the different segmentation of the gallery (in a display of varieties of artworks like Painting, Sculpture and fabrics) the representatives praised the CEO of Oshodi Art Gallery Dr Oshodi Paul and his management for putting up a state of the art gallery to propel Lagos state positively and creatively in the space of Art, craft and tourism.

In the course of the sightseeing adventure, the team were treated to a cultural dance troupe to entertain the duration of their official visit.

The fruitful visit and further discourse saw the tourism delegates affirming the proposal to handle miss Arts Nigeria 2021 and Lagos State arts and cultural festivals in conjunction with oshodi art gallery.

In his remark, the propietor of the gallery, Dr Paul Oshodi said “We’re happy to receive the team from the Lagos state ministry of Tourism, arts and culture. After canvassing our different sections and collections, it felt fulfilling that they were excited to have embarked on this trip with the reactions we received from the delegates”

“They have given us the green light to tender proposals for possible partnership execution of projects like Miss Arts Nigeria pageant/reality show which we’re promoting currently as registration has started across the 36 States in Nigeria for ladies between the ages of 18-27″

“They were all excited to see what we have to offer in our different collections and am positive we shall progress to execute projects together as time goes on” he Added
