This vault was last used in 1966 by the late premier of western region Samuel Ladoke Akintola before his demise and ever since it has remain locked

The metal object was placed on a wooden table in one of the offices in his country home in Ogbomoso and has since remain on the same spot since then

Effort by some members of the family to unlock the vault was abortive as it can only be opened by the code used to locked it which in most cases is a secret pin

Yemi Adedokun who conducted journalists round the facilities at the ogbomoso home of the former minister said “ though the children decided to leave it but some people have been trying to open it to know what is in there but they couldn’t because nobody have the code”
