The abducted President of Junior Chamber International (JCI), Ibadan Elite, Mrs. Ibukunoluwa Otesile, has regained her freedom.
Multiple sources confirmed that Otesile — daughter of Reverend Lekan Babatunde and Deputy Coordinator of the Child Protection Network (CPN), Oyo State Chapter — who was kidnapped outside her father’s residence at General Gas, Ibadan, last week Thursday, was released on Wednesday.
Details surrounding her release remain sketchy as of the time of filing this report, and it has not been ascertained whether a ransom was paid to the abductors.
A message from the family, obtained by our reporter from a reliable source, expressed deep gratitude for the support received during the difficult period.
“The entire family of Rev (Dr) Lekan Babatunde and Prof Otesile would like to express our profound gratitude for the show of love and prayers during this trying period. To God be the glory, Ibukunoluwa is fine.
“In the meantime, the family would like to crave your indulgence for some privacy to allow her and the family recover. We would not be entertaining visitors for now. Kindly bear with us.
“Thank you and God bless.”
