Justice Pius Aderemi for Burial August 4

The family of the late Supreme Court Judge, Hon Justice Pius Olayiwola Aderemi JSC CON has announced the burial arrangement for the late quintessential jurist.

 

According to the statement from the family, the burial arrangement will kick start with a service of song at Oldbury Area Birmingham, London, United Kingdom on the 22nd of July 2018. This will be followed with a special court session in honour of the departed jurist at the Nigerian Supreme Court, Abuja, Nigeria on July 11, 2018.

There will be service of songs at his residence in Ibadan on the 1st of August 2018 by 2pm while an evening of tribute and documentary shall be held for him at Havana Hall, Agbowo , U I, Ibadan on the 2nd of August 2018.

A Special Court Session shall also be held for the Honorable Justice at the High Court of Justice, Ring road Ibadan on the 3rd of August by 10am.

 

There will be a Special Session with the Nigerian Bar Association, Oyo State branch at the Bar Center, Iyaganku, Ibadan and a service of songs at the Havana Hall Agbowo, Ibadan also on the 3rd of August by 11 am and 4pm respectively.

 

The laying in state shall be held at his residence between 7am and 8 am and between 8am to 9 am at Alaafia Hospital, Adamasingba, Ibadan while the final burial mass, shall be held at St Joseph Catholic Church Oke Ado Ibadan by 10am on the 4th of August 2018. This shall be followed by internment at Oke Are cemetery, Ibadan while reception and entertainment of guests shall take place at Hall of Grace, Jogoor Center, Ibadan with Chief Ebenezer Obey on the band stand.

Hon Justice Pius Olayiwola Aderemi JSC CON was a member of the National Judicial Council, Member of the Body of Benchers of Nigeria, Papal Knight of St Gregory the Great and a one-time Chairmanship nominee of the Independent and Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) by President Goodluck Jonathan. He died on Monday June 18 2018 at a hospital in Ibadan after a brief illness. He is survived by children and grandchildren.
