The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has again extended the grace period for the enforcement of the Tinted Glass Permit requirement to October 2, 2025.

Inspector General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, approved the new date following a surge in applications through the official portal, reflecting increased public compliance with the directive.

The police said the extension would allow more time to thoroughly scrutinize applications, ensuring permits are issued only to eligible individuals in line with national security considerations. It will also enable continued fine-tuning of both digital and physical verification processes to safeguard the integrity of the permit system and prevent abuse.

The Force emphasized that the only authorized platform for applications is https://possap.gov.ng, urging citizens to ignore unofficial channels. Members of the public are also encouraged to report any cases of extortion, hidden charges, or unauthorized processing to the police via the dedicated hotline 08147818871.
