Similarly, community leaders in Ibadan Metropolis have lauded Governor Ajimobi for the ongoing construction of 150km of roads in various communities in the state, saying that some of these long awaited asphaltic road projects would serve as alternative routes and eliminate traffic congestion in the neighborhoods.

The Chairman, Otuleye Area, Contonu Layout , Oke’badan Local Council Development Area, Waheed Ajao and Former Vice Chairman, Ifesowapo Community, Zone One, Odo Ona Elewe in Oluyole Local Government, Deacon David Soyonbo, gave the commendation during a joint inspection  of road projects with the Oyo State Government inspection team in their localities.

The duo emphasized the need for citizens to support and contribute their quota to the realization of these laudable projects in various communities for the overall development of the state, urging that necessary measures should be put in place by various communities to ensure that the roads are maintained adequately.

Speaking shortly after the inspection, the Oyo State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Bimbo Kolade affirmed that every society will witness rapid development if community members see the need to continually support government programmes, projects and policies as expected.

“It is obvious that development has to be continuous to enhance sustainable growth. This is why the present administration is working round the clock to have even development in the state. We are not going to relent in our efforts to transform the state and ease transportation across towns and communities,” Kolade added.
