Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to set up presidential panel of enquiry to probe the allegations of missing 149 million barrels of crude oil.

Recall that a document in the 2019 audited reports by the Auditor General of the Federation and Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI), revealed that 146 million barrels of crude oil is missing.

Meanwhile, in a statement on Sunday, SERAP’s deputy director, Kolawole Oluwadare charged Buhari to ensure that those responsible were probed and prosecuted.

The group stated that Buhari’s government has 7 days to commence the probe or face legal action.
