The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has reconnected the clinical services section of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, following the successful intervention of the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu.

In a statement issued by IBEDC management, the electricity company confirmed that the reconnection was done within the agreed 48-hour timeframe after both parties reached a resolution on the disconnection issue.

IBEDC added that it is now awaiting further directives from UCH management regarding the reconnection of other sections of the hospital.

The reconnection follows days of power disruption at the premier teaching hospital, which had raised concerns over the impact on medical services.
