How Ibadan Poly student spent months in Prison for stealing bread.

Opeyemi , an ND1 students of The Polythecnic Ibadan was on freed by the representatives of the Chief Jugde of Oyo state Mukhtar Abimbola  during the amnesty and prison decongestion program in Abolongo prision Oyo.

Opeyemi  who  was among the 22 inmates that were freed  from prison confessed that he actually stole the bread from the shop of his friend’s landlord when he visited them in Oyo

‘ I came to visit my friend in Oyo and I stole the biggest bread on the table, I stole it because I was hungry” he claimed

Opeyemi who claimed he had no parent was however freed and urged to refrain from any act that may lead him to jail

The decongestion program was done to commemorate the birthday of Prince Tayo Adekunle, a member of Nigeria Youth Parliament, representing Oyo Central at the National Assembly.
