ibadan Mogajis Drum Support for Engr. Tegbe, Caution Against Dragging Olubadan Into Politics

Mogajis from the five local governments from Ibadan metropolis have unanimously promised to rally round the  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District, Mogaji Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe

The mogajis who hosted Tegbe at the residence of Mogaji Abass Oloko at Olunde area of Ibadan. All the Mogajis who spoke one after the other described Tegbe as likeable and eminent personality who has elevated thousands of downtrodden in Ibadan and Oyo state from poverty to prosperity. They noted that his ‘Omoluabi ethos’ is second to none.

They added that he has been extending his goodwill to the family compound heads in Ibadan. They urged him not to be distracted by insinuations from some quarters describing it noise from the market.

They warned those dragging Olubadan’s name and Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes into the murky waters of politics to desist or face the wrath of Ibadan indigenes.

In his remarks, the President of all Mogajis in Ibadanland, Asimiyu Ariori said ” Tegbe is one of us, we are here today to endorse his aspiration. He has the clout, the goodwill, he has no stain, he has been identifying us and he is good son of the soil. “We have made our position known today to all Ibadan residents that Engineer Tegbe who is one of us as our candidate and we are urging the good people of Ibadanland to rally round him.”

In his words, Mogaji Abass Oloko said, “He and four others mounted pressure on Tegbe to leave APC and join Engineer Seyi Makinde in the PDP to compliment his developmental strides.

” Tegbe is generous, highly cerebral urbane and humble. We are all happy to have him in our party. I make bold to say it loud and clear that he is the best candidate for Oyo South. He is better than the present occupier of the seat.

“We the Mogajis cannot be intimidated.We are have spoken with one voice that our own, Mogaji Olasunkanmi Joseph Tegbe is our choice. We’ll join his campaign train and mobilize residents of Ibadan and Ibarapa for them to vote for him.

On his part, Mogaji Oladosu Ademola, the Vice Chairman Pacesetter Transport Service lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for the bold step taken to salvage Oyo South senatorial district from inept and lackluster representation. His words: ” We thank our visionary leader, Governor Seyi Makinde for bringing Engineer Tegbe into the PDP fold.

“We are assuring the good people of Ibadanland that Tegbe is the only personality that can give Oyo South the quality representation the district needs. All the options before us from A – Z is Tegbe. That’s why we decided to make his endorsement public.”

In his remarks, the Peoples Democratic Party senatorial hopeful appreciated all the Mogajis for making the endorsement public. He promised to embark on people’s oriented projects and will ensure that Ibadan regains its pacesetting place among comity of cities in Nigeria.

Speaking further, Tegbe promised to hold meetings with all Ibadan Mogajis every three months before and after his electoral victory in 2023 by God’s grace.

Among the Mogajis present at the meeting are,

1) Mogaji Oloko Abass – Vice Chairman, Tourism and Culture (Chief Host)

2) Mogaji Asimiyu – Ariori – President of all Mogajis in Ibadanland Olorishapetu Oke Ado, Ibadan

3) Mogaji Oladosu Ademola – (Olasomi Compound Elekuro) – Vice Chairman Pacesetter Transport Service (PTS)

Also in attendance was an international business mogul, Oloye Tunde Ologburo
