Ibadan deserves more than a king- Ajimobi

Senator Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state on Thursday said the review of Ibadan chieftaincy matter not for political reasons but to further enhance the traditional institution in Ibadan

Ajimobi while speaking at the Launching of Oyo state Health Insurance scheme equally maintains that Ibadan is too big for a king , saying Olubadan is still retain his position as the head of all kings and traditional institution in Ibadanland.

According to him, “Ibadan deserves more than one king, many towns who are not as big as areas in Ibadan have more than four kings”

Using Iwo as an example, the governor said “Apart from Oluwo, the have other kings in the town and it is obvious that Iwo is not bigger than a community in Ibadan”
