Oyo North Senatorial District Hopeful, Hon Akinwale Akinwole Popularly known as Wolekanle has promised to make youths empowerment and advancement the central focus of his tenure if elected.
He said this on Friday during a meeting with Youth leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party of the 13 local government in Oyo North Senatorial district.
The Ogbomoso born entrepreneur said he would initiates programms that will promote Youths development and empowerment which in turm will positively affect the growth of the society.
According to him ” I belief if the youths are properly empowered and engaged, the society will be better and enjoy steady growth and peace.
“Not everybody will work in government or private establishment, but people with creative ability will be empowered so that they can be self sustaining and contribute meaningfully to the society.”
He however urged the Youth leaders to be more proactive in sensitizing the public about the achievements of Gov Seyi Makinde and work to ensure his re-election
“Our able Governor has been able demonstrate his genuine passion for youth development and growth of Oyo state, we must encourage and appreciate him by ensuring his re-election so as to continue the good work.
In their responses, the youth leaders commended Hon Akinwole Akinwale for deeming it fit to interact with them and exchange views on his agenda for the youth development and advancement of the constituency which they said his laudable.
