The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in Oyo North Senatorial District, Rt. Honourable Mulikat Akande-Adeola, has strongly debunked the rumour that she is secretly working for the governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party, Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala.

In a press statement signed by her Special Adviser on Communications, Hon. Taofiq Sakariyya Aolalubarika, and made available to journalists, Hon. Akande-Adeola states that the rumour represents the ploy of those who are bent on using her to gain cheap popularity ahead of the 2019 elections in the country.

The statement explains further that the PDP candidate for Oyo North Senatorial district who was a former majority leader of the House of Representatives has track records of complete loyalty to the party having spent eighteen (18) interrupted years in the party with loyalty, dedication and passion.

Describing the malicious grapevine as a joke of the millennium, Hon. Akande-Adeola pointed out that even in 2015 when some leaders betrayed the party, she holistically and wholeheartedly worked for all the PDP candidates across board.

She, therefore, enjoined the general public to jettison the lies and stated that the victory of the PDP’s governorship candidate, Engineer Seyi Makinde, is of paramount importance to her and that, by 2019, all the party’s candidates would win resoundingly by God’s grace.
