How  Me and My Family Escaped Being killed by Hoodlums in Ikare- Varsity Worker Laments Incessant Attack

Prince Adeyemo Adeniyi Samson a staff of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba was among the victims of April 25 crisis which claims lives and properties in Ikare. Ondo state.

Adeyemo,who resides in Ikare in Akoko North-East Local Government Area of Ondo State is also a royal prince from the community

The 47 years old man, married with three children said he narrowly escaped being killed in Ikare on 24th of April 2023 when the raging hoodlums stroke again

According to him, the April attack is the second time he would be experiencing this year as he was trapped in the middle of the war in January during new year carnival in Ikare, the casualties was so much that the Ondo State government imposed curfew and threatened to banish the Olukare and the Owa-Ale in Ikare- Akoko.

Recall that one person was killed on April 25, while several others sustained various degrees of Injuries and properties damaged by the rampaging thugs who are defending their paymasters.

Prior the last one which forced the Ondo state government to impose curfew several people have been killed and properties damaged due to the lingering crisis rocking the community over chieftaincy disputes.

Narrating his ordeal in Ikare, Adeyemo explained that ” as i speak now i and my family have moved out of the state because of the fear of being killed by the notorious hoodlums who have been terrorising the community due to Chieftaincy issues”

“I became one of their target because of my closeness to the palace and my family have been living in fear of being attack by the opposing camps whom I learnt have penciled my name down for elimination

“I have reported to the police and other security agencies but i was advised to stay away from the community to avert further attack on me, my family and others some of who have also left the community.
