Hon Bimbo Olawunmi Oladeji a member of Oyo state Assembly on Saturday dole out empowerment materials worth millions of Naira and cash gift to member of her constituents in Ogbomoso North.
Items distributed at the events include Deep Freezer, Industrial sewing machines, Grinding Machines, Sewing Machines, Clippers, Generators, Professional Photo Camera, Camp Gas , Cooler and Umbrella and Educational materials for both primary and secondary schools in Ogbomosho North .
She also supported Igbo communities, widow, and some group of people with cash gifts
Hon Oladeji in her speech said her dream of serving the people was enhanced and supported by members of his constituents in 2015 whe
n they voted her to support them at the Oyo state House of Assembly not minding her gender.
‘ During the electioneering campaign, I promised not to betray the confidence and trust reposed in me and today I am here to let them know what I have done so far and to also enhance their own businesses and economic life with some of the items distributed’
While appealing to those who are yet to benefited to be patience and wait for their turn, the first female lawmaker to represent Ogbomoso North at the state Assembly urge the beneficiaries to make good use of the materials for economic development’
She also reiterates her commitment to efficient and adequate representation of her constituents at the Oyo state house of Assembly saying “ in the past two years I have been speaking on issues that affects the advancement of my constituency and oyo state at large
She listed among her motions and bills which discussed at the plenary issues of LAUTECH funding and the need to separate asset so that Oyo state can solely face LAUTECH, Security Challenges in Ogbomoso, Female and gender issue among others .
While pledging her unrelenting commitment to the development of Ogbomoso and Oyo state , Hon Oladeji thanked the former governor of Oyo state Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala and others for their supports and prayers.
The former Governor of Oyo State , Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala who was accompanied to the event by his wife Kemi and some political aides said Hon Oladeji has demonstrated absolute loyalty and commitment to the course which his political group believes in’
We supported her because we believe in her, and I can boldly say that she is a good representative, she always seek for advise before taking any steps and obviously she has not disappointed her constituents, I am proud of her and will continue to support her’
Some of her colleagues led by the Deputy Speaker of the Oyo state House of Assembly, Hon Abdulwasil Musa described Hon Oladeji as the Amazon of the Oyo state House of Assembly, they confirmed her commitment to Ogbomoso and Oyo state at large
Barriser Musa said “ Ogbomoso is blessed to have her and other people at the House of Assembly,, Hon Wunmi Oladeji always put Ogbomoso first, she always make good use of every opportunity she has to speak on issues relating to the advancement of her constituency, her role on LAUTECH’s to ensure LAUTECH is reopened is enormous and her efforts is yielding positive results
Also former commissioner for works in Oyo state, Alhaji Yunnus Akintunde said what draw his attention to Hon Oladeji is her presentation and contributions on the floor of the Assembly , She truly represent her people at the state Assembly and her efforts so far are highly commendable.
Some of the beneficiaries said the gesture will boost their businesses and improve their economy.
Other dignitaries at the event includes,members of Oyo state House of Assembly Traditional Rulers, Religious leaders, political leaders in Ogbomoso and Oyo state among others.
