It was a glamorous moment for the APC members and constituents of Ibadan North West /South West Federal constituency in Oyo State, as they were hosted by one of their favorite aspirant in person of Hon. Olayinka Gbolahan Ibikunle a.k.a Kiniun Onibudo.
The event witnessed many party leaders, local government and ward executives’, former councilors from the 23 wards of the federal constituency and party members among others.
In his address, Hon. Gbolahan expresses his appreciation to all party members for their unflinching support, motivation and encouragement.
“I am thankful to God and appreciating you all for the support and I promise never to let you down because my political philosophy engineered towards the welfare of the people, noting that once everyone is taken care of, development would naturally take place”. He said.
Also speaking at the event was Hon. Adepoju Rafiu (Outgoing legal adviser, IBSW) educates the members on direct and indirect primaries.
“We have suffered overtime by the adoption of indirect primaries which has affected the party and large numbers of constituents, but this time and with the brouhaha rocking the party which will be resolving soon and with the option of direct primaries deliberation. We had a good chance to choose the preferred candidate of choice instead of imposing anyone”. He noted.
Hon. Akinremi Ajanaku (fmr. councillor NW) spoke on behalf of his colleagues assured Hon. Gbolahan of their various supports. He also said aside the aspirant’s pedigree and commitment to humanity, Hon. Gbolahan is a man of integrity.
Hon. Alh. Musbaudeen Okeloa (outgoing executive SW) in his word charged politician to choose wisely this time and desist from deceit. He said “If we are open minded and straight forward on this Gbolahan’s project , we shall prosper and enjoy the dividends of democracy because the aspirant has cleared every doubt. He concluded.
Hon. Aderemi Oni (fmr. Party chairman SW) emphasis on the direct primaries as the only tool for the progressive to make their choice and win election with landslide, he also urges members to go back to the grassroots and do the needful.
