Odebunmi who is the chairman House committee on information, National Orientation Ethics and Values said further that his focus is to provide basic amenities and infrastructure that are being enjoyed in the urban centers to rural communities so as to reduce migration from Urban to Rural.

“I am propelled by the need to enhance their involvement in Agriculture and attract more people into the farm.
Rural dwellers need accessible road, good water supply, health care facilities and good schools so that there will be reduction in the Rural- Urban migration’’

” I am a trader and my parent were into Agriculture ,i had my elementary at the rural area so i have experienced the worst aspect of living in rural areas, and one of the reasons am into politics is to change the situation, so that our people at the grassroots can enjoy the dividends of democracy.”

In a similar development,Hon Odebunmi also called on Governors of the South West to commit more resources to Agriculture for food sufficiency and income generation.
The APC chieftain said from all indications, the governors are not seriously committed to the sector as most of them initiate projects with no sustainability plans.
The lawmaker also frowned at the way farmers are being denied access to loan facilities and other provisions by the Federal government to aide agriculture.
He stated that ” Unlike in the Northern part of the country where farmers enjoy government support and patronage , loan facilities, farm inputs and others .Our leaders here are busy dealing with political farmers when real farmers are suffering and wallowing in poverty”
