Hon Gunju Ojo May Succeed Late Adeyemo as Oyo Assembly Speaker

Hon Joshua Olagunju  Ojo, Minority Leader of the Oyo state House of Assembly may replace late Michael Adeyemo as the Speaker.

National Insigt learnt that the lamwaker representing Oriire state constituency is the choice of the governor and some leaders in the party

It was also gathered that the state Governor Senator Ajimobi had met with some lawmakers in APC where he informed them of the government position and why he chose Hon Ojo.

Although about four people including the Deputy Speaker, Hon Abdulwasi Tunde Musa are eyeing the seat.

An inside source also informed our reporter that some lawmaker have vowed to resist any imposition from the Governor but to vote when the house resume on the 16th of May

It would be recalled that the immediate past Speaker Hon. Michael Adeyemo died on April 27 .

Hon Gunju Ojo , a former Deputy Speaker was re-elected in 2015 under the platform of Labour Party. He is a strong member of Alao Akala political group
