His last prayer for Gov. Makinde.
The late Oyo commissioner for Environment and Natural resources Hon Kehinde Olatunji Ayoola JP was on bed rest two weeks before he died on Thursday morning.
It was gathered that the Oyo born political strategist who clocked 55 in January developed stroke due to stress and heart related issue which manifested seriously few weeks ago.
When our reporter visited his office, workers were seen in sobber mood and majority of those approached refuses to talk as they were all in a sad mood.
The late commissioner was said to be in his office two weeks ago but he did not get down from the car that brought him , he sat in his car received calls after which they brought some papers to him from the office and left.
Mr Taiwo Adisa , The Chief Press secretary to Engineer Seyi Makinde in a statement said Ayoola had two weeks ago driven himself to Frontida Critical Care Hospital, Iyaganku, Ibadan for medical checks, after which he was advised to proceed on bed rest.
Frontida Critical care Hospital , a private clinic in Ibadan specializes in intensive Critical care, Acute stroke and Ambulance services.
The late Commissioner was born in Oyo town in January 1965 and attended St. Michael’s Primary School, Oke Ebo, Oyo, Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo and the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), Ile-Ife, where he studied Animal Science and Environmental Management and Control
He served as the Speaker of the 4th Session of the Oyo State House of Assembly, under the administration of former Governor Lam Adesina, also of blessed memory
Hon. Ayoola was one of the first batch of 14 Commissioners sworn into office on August 14, 2019 by Governor Makinde and was thereafter asked to man the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.
Governor Seyinl Makinde descibed the late politician as a loyal friend with a dedication to duty that cannot be questioned. He will be sorely missed for his great oratory skills and his love for the people of Oyo Town and Oyo State and pray that his soul rest in peace.”
The governor also prayed that the Almighty God would grant his wife, children, the cabinet and the government of Oyo State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the entire people of Oyo State the fortitude to bear the loss
On his WhatsApp status which was last updated on April 23, Hon Ayoola wrote , “God Above all else, Strengthen Seyi Makinde at this time!”
