Hearing on Igboho’s Case Holds Today in Cotonou

Hearing of case involving the Yoruba rights activist chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly know as Sunday Igboho at Court D’Apeal of Benin Republic tomorrow.

Adeyemo and his wife were in court with thier lawyer today but one cannot say the exact thing that transpire while they were inside the court as the court went into private session shortly after his arrival

Igboho who was arrested on monday evening by the International Criminal Police Organisation at the Cadjèhoun Airport in Cotonou while traveling Germany.

Scores of supporters and yoruba nation agitators who stormed the court premise in solidarity for Igboho were not privy to know the details of what happens at the court too

Igboho’s lawyer chief Yomi Aliyu SAN said, they were at the court to register the case

The court is expected to rule on the merits or otherwise of the international arrest warrant for Igboho.

The judgment will determine if he will be extradited to Nigeria or not.

Igboho was returned to the custody of Brigade Criminelle in Cotonou.
