Health Workers Hold Capacity Building Training on Neglected Tropical Diseases in Ibadan

Healths Workers from South West, Nigeria recently converged in Ibadan, Oyo State Capital for Capacity Building Training on South West Supply Chain Management and Monitoring & Evaluation workshop.

Participants at the worship whoch was held at Kakanfo Hotel, Joyce B Road, Ibadan were drawn from Ondo,Oyo,Osun Ekiti and Ogun states

The Executive Secretary of Oyo State Primary Health Care Board Dr Muideen Olatunji while declaring the workshop open said, Oyo State Primary Health Care Board has so far spent 31,500,000 Million Naira to support NTD programs.
He said this year alone,the board has spent 11,000,000 Million Naira on the same program.

The training which was mainly orgnaized to build the capacity of participants to adequately forecast, quantify and report commodity management and consumption in their states also aims at train and retraining participants on effective and efficient supply chain management of donated NTDs commodities.

Another key objective is to develop supervisors skills on how to effectively and efficiently organize the transportation and distribution of NTD commodities as well as develop an action plan for the next steps to improve supply chain management (SCM) for neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) programs.
