Today, Muslims in Ogbomoso, Oyo State and around the world celebrate Eid al-Adha.
Eid al-Adha marks the end of the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca. Therefore, It is a time to reflect on lessons of sacrifice and charity, and to appreciate life’s many blessings.
On behalf of the Alao-Akala political bloc, I wholeheartedly felicitate with Muslims around the world, who are celebrating Eid al-Adha. And I congratulate everyone who has performed the Hajj this year.
Amidst these celebrations, I urge all Divinely Favoured Muslims to also remember those in need, by extending a hand of friendship and compassion to those less fortunate than you.
As we celebrate, we must use this auspicious and sacred occasion to pray for Divine Intervention on high wave of insecurity confronting our country. While we pray, I call on all the stakeholders to join hands with all the tiers of government in the country in tackling the menace.
Eid Mubarak! I hope that this will be a wonderful occasion for everyone who is taking part.
May we witness and celebrate many more of the occasion on the surface of the earth. Amin!
