GUILD of Tourism Journalists of Nigeria (GTJ) has lauded Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, for appointing its President, Comrade Wale Ojo-Lanre as the Director-General, Ekiti State Council of Arts and Culture.

The group, in a press statement signed by its acting Secretary, Remi Oladoye, described, the appointment as timely and accurate “as it would afford Wale Ojo-Lanre the opportunity of using his wealth of experience in tourism and culture to develop the sector in Ekiti.

According to the release, “Wale Ojo-Lanre, a serial award-winning tourism journalist, is an expert in arts, culture and tourism who he knows his onions and is optimistic. He would use his new position to influence positive developments in Ekiti State, through promotion of domestic tourism.

“Ojo-Lanre is an advocate of domestic tourism and promotion of culture, hence this appointment provides a platform for him to explore the experiences he has gathered over the years and we are expecting him to perform excellently.”
