Groups of human right organization on Saturday stage a peaceful protest against the untold hardship being faced by Nigerians.
They attribute the problems to insensitivity of the government to the increasing rate of hunger and inflation in the price of commodities.
Leaders and members of Human Rights Herald, Campaign for the Defence of Human Rights CDHR, Integrity Human right leaders and others where part of the procession which moved from the university of Ibadan main gate and trekked to Dugbe with some of them carry placards with various inscription such as such as” Yes to restructuring and say no to hunger”, prices of food are unbearable, Say no to hunger’ and others moved the University of Ibadan main gate and ended at Dugbe
Some of the speakers Akeem Lawal Oyo state chairman of CHDR, Kareem Rasheed Adewumi and others while addressing people at Sango and Dugbe said people are dying on daily basis based on due to hunger and health challenges.
“Salaries and wages of workers are not being paid as and when due and the price of commodities is increasing everyday all this are matters of concerns and that is when we raise alarm with this peaceful protest” Says Akeem Aluta.
