Fuel Tanker Explosion in Ibadan Causes Widespread Damage and Traffic Chaos

A fuel-laden tanker exploded on Saturday afternoon in Ibadan, resulting in the destruction of several vehicles, including a commercial bus, a Micra, a private car, and a motorcycle. The incident occurred at Iyana Ajia along the Ife-Ibadan expressway, leading to significant traffic congestion that lasted for several hours.

While the number of casualties remains unclear, an eyewitness told National Insight that some individuals sustained injuries. Emergency service personnel, including firefighters, responded quickly to extinguish the flames and prevent further damage.

Security operatives, including members of Amotekun, military personnel, and police, were present at the scene to manage the traffic situation and maintain order. Updates on the incident will follow as more information becomes available
