Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has dissolved the State Executive Council with immediate effect.
The affected commissioners and special advisers are to hand over to the permanent secretaries or the most senior civil servants in their respective ministries, departments, and agencies.
In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro, the governor expressed appreciation to the outgoing cabinet members for their contributions to the state and wished them success in their future endeavours.
The dissolution, however, does not affect the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, as well as the Commissioners for Health and Human Services; Agriculture and Food Security; Education; Works; and Trade, Investment, Industry and Cooperatives.
Also exempted are the Special Advisers on Special Education and Social Inclusion, and Lands, Survey and e-GIS.
Directors General who are members of the State Executive Council are also to retain their positions. They include the DG, Office of Transformation and Service Delivery (OTSD); DG, SDGs and Project Monitoring; and DG, Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP).
