Osun state Commissioner for Lands and Physical Planning, Hon. George Ibitayo Alabi has tasked students across the country to continue striving for academic excellence,
Hon George Alabi gave the task while speaking at the 14th Annual Inter-house Sports Competition at Unity School, Ejigbo where he participated as one of the distinguished house sponsors.
The Commissioner represented the Yellow House, Oba Abidjan, as part of tribute to the late Oba Abidjan, in recognition of his legacy and contributions to the community.
Hon George Alabi emphasized that ” success is not only measured by victories in sports but also by embracing values like fairness, perseverance, and teamwork”.
He lauded the school management, the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), the Old Students Association, and all other house sponsors for their outstanding efforts in organizing Inter-house Sports Competition
The Commissioner expressed his gratitude for the successful event and reiterated his commitment to supporting educational initiatives.
Other houses that participated in the competition included Asagade (Blue), Adebowale (Red), and Alare (Green).
At the end of the Inter-house Sports Competition, Adebowale House (Red), came 1st, Oba Abidjan House (Yellow) emerged, 2nd, Alare House (Green), 3rd while Asagade House (Blue)** came 4th .
The Inter House Sports competition was graced by notable personalities, Hon. Olujinmi Asagade (who was represented), Hon. Dipo Eluwole, Commissioner for Education (also represented), Hon. Timothy Folaranmi, Hon. Solomon Owalude, Chairman, Mr. Olukunle Olodo, Co-Chairman, Mrs. Basirat Aro, Chairperson, Chief Mrs. Khadijat Olawole, Co-Chairperson, Mr. S.A. Adunola, Principal, Imam Abdul-Rasheed Onifade, PTA Chairman, Mr. Kamoru Oyelade, Chairman Sports Committee, Engr. Akinleye Monsuru Tunde, BOG Chairman, and several other esteemed guests.
