Business man of repute Sir Adebutu Kessington, at the weekend remarked that the  Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land title bestowed on Dr Gani Adams befits him more, considering his antecedent.
The highly revered Lotto boss,  said Adams has started the work in earnest and prayed for a successful tenure for  the Generalismo of Yoruba land whom he charged should be conscious of the fact that he is Aare Ona Kakanfo of the entire Yoruba land and not of a town or city.
Welcomimg the Aare Ona Kakanfo designate to his Iperu Remo, Ogun state
home, the highly succesful businessman posited that the new title befits National coordinator of the Oodua People’s Congress more because of his antecedents, just as the  highly elated Kessington who embraced Adams to the admiration of other visitors present when he met with the Aare Ona kakanfo said he was happy the “ ball eventually fell in Adams’ court”
According to him, a number of people were considered for the
title but the choice of Adams fits perfectly
“ In my personal opinion, the Aare Ona Kakanfo title befits Gani Adams
considering his antecdedent.
“ Quite a number of people have been considered  before the ball
eventually fell in his court and i pray that his tenure will be
successful” Kessington prayed.
Stressing his optimism about Adams making a success of the new
position, Chief Kessington said “ he has started the job already and
my advise to him his that he should do all within his power to
reconcile groups and divisions in the yoruba land.”
In his final submission,  the popular business man said  the title is
not for a particular town or city, but “ a yoruba title for the entire
yotuba race”  adding that the Aare designate “ should carry all
yorubas along and i pray God will help him”
Meanwhile, The Aare Ona Kakanfo designate, Dr Gani Adams has given insight into how he intends to function as the Yoruba Generalissimo.
Speaking at the palace of Olu of Ilaro, Oba Kehinde Gbadewole  at the weekend, The Aare Ona Kakanfo designate said  he intends to work withTraditional rulers and everybody that he needs to work with, to ensure the Unity of Yoruba race and progress of  the country at large.
Insisting that he will do” everything within my power to ensure this” Adams said he was one of the people who played major roles in the fight for the enthronement of democracy being enjoyed in the country, adding that nothing is too much to do for the sustainance of the hard earned process.
He said he intends to use the advantage  the position is offering ,to foster unity among the people to enable progress because according to him” little could be achieved in the face of disunity and injustice”
