“I was opportune to lead a subcommittee of the public account committee, to the North Central Zone to carry out crucial oversight inspection of COVID-19 funds to critical agencies.

“The committee’s task which is aimed at ensuring transparency in the allocation and utilization of COVID-19 funds, started its inspection at the National Hospital Abuja, then proceeded to the Federal Medical Center Jabi, and ended at the Abuja University Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada.

“The sub committee led by my humble self was impressed by the judicious utilisation of COVID-19 funds as we saw everything the money was expended on by all the health centers visited.

“I also received an award on behalf of the National Assembly, thereby reinforcing our commitment to supporting institutions that prioritise citizens well-being.”
