FundLAUTECH initiatives raised by the Almuni association of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso to raise fund for the institution has generated a sum of 4 million (N4,091,089.15)
The initiatives which swung into operation 12 days ago have received donations from 74 people including the Ooni of Ile Ife Oba Adeyeye, Eniitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, Senator Rashidi Ladoja , former governor of Oyo state some members of the Oyo state House of Assembly and others.
Donations from the Ooni and Accord caucus in the house of Assembly is not included in the amount while Ooni’s cheque is yet to be presented , the lawmakers are yet to present their donation
It was also learnt that some Chieftains of the All progressives Congress APC are shying away from identifying and support the initiatives because of its political implications and relationship with the governor
It would be recall that FundLAUTECH initiatives was launched 12 days ago to raise N1b in three months with the aim of providing financial assistance to the institution which is enmeshed in financial crisis
