Former, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Nigerian Army and immediate past Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Benin Amb (Lt Gen RTD) Tukur Buratai has been commended for his efforts towards President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s election.
The Southern Youth Forum( SYF) the umbrella association of youth leaders from the Seventeen Southern States of Nigeria in an appreciation letter to Buratai acknowledge and appreciate him for unquantifiable contributions to our association to mobilize support of our youth across party lines, across religious and ethnic persuasions to vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the Presidential elections
The group in a statement signed by the Cordinator, Comrade Oladimeji Odeyemi and the secretary Barrister John Atani and Engineer Fidelis Nze (KSM) said the victory of His Excellency President Bola Tinubu during the Presidential elections is a victory for all Nigerians with hope and aspirations for a better Nigeria. Given his antecedent inter alia as one of the foremost nationalist and the huge success recorded when he was the Governor of Lagos State.hile acknowledging Buratai’s support during the election the group maintained that “As a highly detribalize Statesman, your support and steadfastness to us without any ethnic consideration was the reason for the modest mileage and achievements we recorded during the election, despite the activities of some misguided youth who were mobilize by some political actors to play the game of blackmails, ethnicity and religious fundamentalism against the candidacy of President Bola Tinubu during the elections.
“Sir, we recalled that immediately after the APC Presidential Primaries, where, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu won convincingly, our association held several executive meetings, our various decisions were communicated to you as our mentor, and we agreed to work with you to arrive at a progressive decision and strategy to support and mobilise votes for President Bola Tinubu during the elections. You considered the campaign for President Bola Tinubu as an obligation, and we’re proud to have worked with you to bring about the Renewed Hope to our people.”
While congratulating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), on his well deserved election and swearing in as the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria SYF also pledge their continuous support and solidarity with Buratai as well as loyalty and patriotism to President Tinubu (GCFR) and to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
