The family of late Sola Ayomikun Omobolanle, son of Sunday and Peju Ogunmola Omobolanle, has dismissed reports suggesting that he died from a bathroom accident, describing such claims as false and misleading.

In a statement signed by Yemi Amodu on behalf of the family, it was confirmed that Sola, described as a “jewel, a precious child, and a rising star,” passed away recently after a brief illness. According to the family, he received first-class medical care during the period of his illness but sadly passed on despite the efforts of the medical team.

The statement further clarified that Sola died at a hospital in Ibadan, Oyo State, and has since been laid to rest at Eternal Rest Home.

The family urged the public to disregard reports from bloggers suggesting that the young man died after falling in a bathroom. “These misleading stories not only dishonour his memory but also bring unnecessary pain to his loved ones,” the statement read.

While expressing gratitude for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from friends, colleagues, and well-wishers, the family prayed that no household would ever experience such a painful loss.

“May the Almighty grant Sola eternal rest and grant us all the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” the family concluded.
