Al-Rahmah Mosque dubbed the Floating Mosque is located on the edge of the Corniche Road in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The mosque was built in 1985 and is one of Jeddah’s most visited mosques.
It is also known as Fatima Al Zahra Mosque.
It is the first such place of prayer in the world built over the water.
It is called the floating mosque’ because at high tide, the mosque appears to hover over the waves of the Red Sea below and also because of the stilts that suspend it above the edge of the water.

Entry to Al Rahma Mosque is free of charge for everyone. It is open to all, including kids, adults, senior citizens, and families, at all times seven days of the week.
Dawns and sunsets are the most popular times to visit the mosque due to the spectacular sea views and cooling breeze during those times of the day.
