Experts Harp on Need for Digitalized Economy, Holds 2023 Mega Trade Fair

The use of latest innovation and technology matric towards increasing market share has again been recognized by experts in the business field.

The experts who spoke during unveiling of mega trade fair 2023 prospectus, press conference and mini exhibition on Thursday in Ibadan, established that there was need to encourage people to embrace technology and digital knowledge and skills.

In his keynote address, Head west Africa, Forbes Africa,Dr Adeyeye Fabusoro, said it was imperative to have a digitalized economy to serve as connections among people, business and processes.

Speaking on the theme ” Digitalized Economy; a Smarter market place, Fabusoro stressed that government needs to put injection of grants into things around technology and digital, and not focusing only on students grants.

Also, President Geological Society of Africa, Prof. Gbenga Ogunlola while speaking on a theme “critical minerals and expectation of their future role in Nigeria, said, as global economy advances , the demand for these minerals rises as they strengthen important technologies in high tech electronics and more.

A leading personality in Nigeria agric sector , Dr Segun Makanjuola said digital marketing is a choice to perfect business experience and achieving success in digital transformation is not complicated.

Executive Director, Mega Trade Fair , Dr Delight Owoyemi during his opening address noted that the events would commence from Friday, 1st to Sunday 10th December is geared at creating a veritable platform for public and private stakeholders, investors to market their products.

Owoyemi who observed a low turnout of exhibitors due fuel scarcity last year, said all has been put in place for the 10th edition to receive about 600 Exhibitors from different industrial sector at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, Oyo State.
