Hon. Olujide Adewale, a Commissioner for Environment and habitat Hon was on Sunday innaugurated as the 9th president of Fountain of Hope Society in Ibadan
The society was founded on the basis of Evangelism, turning around the church on various developmental projects, bringing the lost sheep of younger generation who have gone to Pentecostal churches to their family church and other.
Adewale’s investiture was held at St David Cathedral Church in Kudeti in Ibadan.
THIS IS MY FIRST ADDRESS AS THE 9TH PRESIDENT OF FOUNTAIN OF HOPE INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY (FOHI 31) KUDETI CHAPTER AT THE 31ST ANNIVERSARY OF THE SOCIETY
I Sincerely express my greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to the founding fathers, body of the past Presidents, all the past & new excos , all members of this great society ,the members of international chapters that are present, Ladies and gentlemen.
It is a honour to address you today as the 9th PRESIDENT of the newly elected executive of this great society in our Cathedral St David church Kudeti Ibadan.May I take you briefly to a memory lane that this society was brought from St Anne,s church molete singlehandedly by our two brothers namely our chartered PRESIDENT Bro Wole Amusan and Bro Tunde Adewale in the year 1992 with twelve MEMBERS which has increased to above 50 members because the founding members worked assiduously in laying the right foundation on which successful administration drew their strength. It was a seed sewed by this two great men( a loud and clap ovation) for them.
I was the second vice President in( 1995-1999) when Bro jide Laniyonu was the President.In the last 31years of the life-span of this society,many developmental projects have been achieved and delivered to the church of God to the extent that to the glory of God today,our society is in the forefront of the Cathedral church.
My predecessor Bro Gbenga Adekanmbi has taken the society to a greater heights while I promised to kick-start from where he stopped and taking the society to a more greater heights in Jesus name amen. I shall ensure that there is improvement and development in our cardinal objectives which include but not limited to:-
1.Evangelism
2 Turning around the church on various developmental projects.
3.Bringing the lost sheep of younger generation who have gone to Pentecostal churches to their family church
4. Fostering with other chapters of fountain of hope internationally and Nationwide.
5.To be in the forefront in all ramifications in the cathedral church in particular and the Diocese at large.
6.Welfare of our members should be Paramount in our mind.
7.Investment should be given priority by the society.
I hereby express my gratitude to those that have used their time, strength, talent, money, wisdom and other valuables toward the upliftment of the society.
During the course of 31years of existence of our society,we have lost seven members to the cold blood of death namely

May their souls continue to rest in perfect peace amen.(A minute silence)
Since the formation of this society, we missed a year anniversary when we lost of our Chartered matron Chief Mrs Janet Akinrinade Former Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria during Alhaji Shehu Shagari administration.
Major task are ahead of us as we are the mirror of the church and most congregants are our great grandpa and great grandma,we need to continue taking the lead and do more evangelism to bring more of the church cathedral sons and daughters back to their route because most of them are doing well in the penticostal churches that they are worshipping.
My tenure will encourage felicitation with other chapters even outside Ibadan during their yearly anniversary and all other programs of the Fountain of hope international Nationwide.
I will equally improved on the existing support for our mother church,may God help me.
Finally,I want to take a moment to reinstate our efforts in the area of WELFARE and INVESTMENT more seriously as my Predecessor had started and I will ensure that we follow it up as to be more beneficial
In closing,I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone of you for believing in me to take you to another level and by His Grace I will not let you down.
I also pledge my sincere upholding of the tenets of our constitution and regulations always.
