The Final Burial Ceremony for the late former Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Oyo State Council, Comrade Olasehindemi Micheal Dagunduro has been released.

Aged 76, the deceased final burial rites start with Lying-In-State at his residence, 10 Ajibi Quarters behind Lafia Hotel, Apata, Ibadan on Thursday December 19, 2019.

According to the family of the deceased, Dr. Dagunduro Olatokunbo and Mrs Olasumbo Otunaga, Tributes, Commendation Service and Christian Wake will take place at the NUJ Press Centre, Iyaganku, Ibadan same Thursday.

On Friday the 20th of December is the Funeral Service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Odo Ona, Ibadan followed by Interment at the Church Cemetry immediately after the Service.

Entertainment of Guests takes place at Lafia Hotel Hall, Apata, Ibadan thereafter.

In a statement, the Chairman and Secretary, Oyo NUJ, Messrs, Adewumi Faniran and Bola Ogunlayi, described the former NUJ boss as a through bred professional and unionist per excellence whose activities and leadership qualities earned him the naming of NUJ Administrative Building/Health Centre built by his administration after him.

“It was on record that Mr Dagunduro used his connections and that of his Executives to attract completion of various projects including, Construction of the First Health Centre Building donated by the Late former Military Administrator, Col. Sasaenia Adedeji Oresanya in 1990”, the statement adds.

The statement enjoins all Journalists in the State and beyond to attend all the programmes lined up for the burial ceremony in order to pay our last respect to the departed colleague.
