A  governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Senator Gbenga Aluko is dead.

He was aged 58

The Ode Ekiti born former lawmaker who represented Ekiti South at the National Assembly between 1999 and 2003 on the platform of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) was said to have died on Saturday  evening after he collapsed in his office in Abuja.

H died in an hospital  after he slumped in his office where he eventually gave up the ghost.

An inside source  who pleaded anonymity dislcosed  that Senator Aluko was not sick nor exhibit symptom of any ailments.

Another source disclosed that the late political died of heart attack as he complained of serious chest pain before he slumped.

He was the son of the late economist, Professor Sam Aluko.

He was one of the Governorship Aspirants in the 2018 election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ekiti State.
