It was a moment of honour and praise for High Chief Bamidele Omosehin, a serial entrepreneur, education enthusiasts and a philanthropist, from Iju-odo, Ikale, Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State as youths and eminent personalities from all walks of life gathered in Akure for the maiden edition of The Conversation 1.0 a colloquium organized to mark his birthday
The event which was held at SIDA Hall Opposite Police Hospital, Akure Ondo state features presentation of papers discuss among others which exray the current political and economic situation in Nigeria
Speaking on a topic entitled “Understanding the dynamics of the Nigeria’s economy: Its effects on the citizenry and possible way forward” Dr Adeyemi Adeyemo who highlighted the challenges in Nigeria said part of the step to be taken as a way forward includes, the need to implement policies without bias, block the revenue leakages , increase investment in none Oil sector such as tourism and agriculture as well as encourage local manufacturing and industrialization
The lead speaker, Dr. Adeyemo Aderemi, helps the audience to make sense of the dynamics of the Nigeria’s economy and also the effects on the cotizenry and submits way forward.
Also, Dr. Dayo Ademuleyi an Associate Professor of the Department of Biochemistry FUTA in his paper entitled:Governance Efficiency; The Role of Technology emphasize on the importance of automated system of government, where we can rely more on technology rather than bureaucracy, which usually results in corruption, waste of resources and time. He advised government at all levels to consider the use of technology for efficiency and high productivity.
Hon. Olufowobi Desmond,Vice president of Nigeria youth in politics who is the convener of the colloquium in his welcome adress said “This colloquium is a timely response to the economic and social crisis in Nigeria, particularly the current increase in security challenges in Nigeria and particularly in the southwest. These realities have made it impossible to throw parties and wine while we, as people, are faced with all these daunting challenges.Therefore, in the views of High Chief Bamidele, it is important to mark this year’s birthday by reviewing and reflecting on the country’s economy and social challenges with the hope of providing solutions”
“Over the years, High Chief Bamidele Omosehin have shown sincere passion to the well-being of his people and country at large, his foundation, the Bamidele Omosehin foundation, has given out scholarship to many youth in pursuit of university education, made payments of SSCE to indigents students across Ondo South, empowered widows with start up and numerous donations of food and relief materials to orphanages.”

The celebrants, Chief Bamidele had his elementary education at St Paul’s Anglican School and Manuwa Memorial Grammar School Iju-Odo. His passion and quest for education, led him outside the shores of the country for a university education where he obtained B.Sc in Business Administration.
Mr. Bamidele Omosehin, has travelled across Africa, Europe and America, has chains of investments across the continents . He is the Owner/CEO of NVX International Limited and Omosehin Properties & Homes Local and Abroad with chains of other companies across Europe, America and Africa.
Mr. Bamidele Omosehin is the Chairman/founder and sponsor of Bamidele Omosehin Foundation, a Non- Governmental Organisation, established in the year 2020 with the mandate to intervene and alleviate the economic hardship of under-priviledged people within and outside Ikale-land. The Bamidele Omosehin Foundation has made critical intervention in so many humanitarian situation in the life of the needy, orphans, widows and indigents students in across Ikale-land.
In 2020, the foundation in the past, has successfully gave out food palliatives to alleviate the hardship of many during the COVID-19 pandemic, and payment of medical bills as well as provision of wheel chairs and crushes to the disabled. And in 2021 there was payment of West Africa Senior Certificate Examination (WASSCE) fees for indigent students from public secondary schools in Ondo State.Furthermore, in December 2022, the foundation distributed textbooks and educational materials to 22 Public secondary schools in Ondo states and cash gifts to over 500 indigent widows in just one event. In promoting and development grassroots sports, Bamidele Omosehin Unity Cup was established for the diehard football enthusiast, and hold during every yuletide season to showcase talents from the grassroots and to provide necessary support to the youths, towards actualizing their dreams.
