The Youth Volunteers for the Development Projects of Oriire State Constituency code-named ‘Oriire Youth Council’ has congratulated Honourable Ezekiel Ajani Oyedepo – a Political stalwart from the local government as he turns 65 yesterday Sunday, 16th of April 2023.
The Acting Chairman of the Youthful demography of the State constituency, Hon. Owonikoko Sarafadeen in a statement described Hon. Oyedepo as;
“a legend and a man of integrity who is not only Patriotic to ensure the development of Oriire local government but also working assiduously to secure the future of the younger generation.”
In a statement signed by the acting Vice Chairman, Secretary and Ward 10 Representative of the group, Hons. Temitayo Ogundare, Sanusi Olalekan, Akanji Folasade in respective order indicates that;
“Ajani has dedicated himself in service to the development of the Council as one time secretary, Executive Chairman, 2003-2007 and 2007-2011, former member of the Oyo State House of Assembly. It is also noteworthy that he has played a very significant role in the emergence of some of us including (Hon. Michael Olateju Alabi), a young and brilliant colleague of us as the present Chairman of the same local government he had governed for 8 fruitful years of consecutive two administrative terms. Another noteworthy is the yet-to-be-inaugurated Hon-elect Johnson Ogundele to represent the local government at the 10th Assembly of the Oyo State House of Assembly (OYHA) and baba will still do more for us.”
In the same development, Ajala Oluwaseun, the media Officer of the group said the celebrant has demonstrated leadership capacity despite national challenges confronting the nation including the geographical peculiarly of Oriire local government.
He said;
“during his time in government as Executive Chairman and member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, the impactful initiatives and the execution of projects across the ten wards of the local government by Hon. Ajani irrespective of political instability of the time and the disturbing controversy of the State top-most political actors of then Governor Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja/Deputy Governor Adebayo Alao Akala allegedly occasioned by the late legendary power-broker of Ibadan-land, Alaafin Molete – Chief Ariyibi Lamidi Adedibu, remains the major landmark structures in some villages and towns throughout the local government area. Such projects includes but not limited to; blocks of classroom, borehole water dispensers, primary healthcare structures, road infrastructures to mention but few are highly commendable, hence our celebrating such a great living legend.”
In his own goodwill message, Hon. Joshua Ojo Akin, member representing Oriire State Constituency at the Oyo State Youth Parliament, he wishes Ajani a more years in good health and wisdom to continue impacting positively the local government area.
